Parade Details

Parade Regulations!

An all-new walking-style interactive celebration where everyone is encouraged to dress up, bring their best Pride spirit, and walk together in unity!


  • All entries must have a “Pride” theme.
  •  No motorized vehicles allowed. 2-4 wheel carts, wagons, strollers, or platforms that are manual push/pull are allowed. Size may not exceed 3’ (wide) x 5’ (long) in order to physically fit down the parade route. 
  • Battery powered or remote control units are not allowed. *motorized mobility aids are allowed for our differently abled friends.
  • For groups of people in your entry: we recommend no more than 3-4 people across (if they are shoulder-to-shoulder) so that you can physically fit down the parade route, since this is a walking-style parade that uses walkways and sidewalks. There is no limit to thenumber of rows/length of people in your entry.
  • Absolutely NO THROWING candy or other items from the entry. Additional individual walkers may hand items out to the crowd along the edges of the parade route. No lagging behind; no disrupting other entries.
  • NO ALCOHOL consumption or display of alcohol during the parade or in the staging area.
  • Entries must be “family friendly”- appropriate to be seen by all ages and respectful of all political and religious views. 
  • Prohibited: the depiction of/use of images of illegal drugs and/or drug paraphernalia, smoking/tobacco/vaping and/or related items, nudity, sexually graphic content, images of violence, weapons and fake weapons, or foul language.
  • The staging area opens at 10:00 a.m. Someone must accompany the entry at all times.
  • Do not bring your entry to the staging area and leave it.
  • Please attach or carry a sign that identifies your unit in the parade.
  • All entries must continue to move forward during the parade. No stopping or performing on the parade route or in front of the judges’ stand.
  • Participants must obey CR Pride staff.
  • PLEASE NOTE: failure to comply with the rules can result in disqualification for awards and/or removal from the parade or future parades.
  • Staging/order/line-up information will be emailed to participants between July 10-11.
  • We recommend that you park in the Public Parking lots behind Parlor City and CSPS; between 11th & 12th Ave.
  • When returning to Pride festivities, please use 12th Ave (to avoid Parade route entries exiting on 11th Ave.)

Political entry: $50

Non-profit entry: $15


Bands, Schools, Veterans groups, Public Safety organizations: Free (but donations appreciated)
