Volunteers Are Needed!

Our volunteers are what make everything we do possible! Whether you have a knack for fundraising or are a pro with spreadsheets - there is a way for everyone to get involved! To make our Pride festival the best yet, we need community support to make our events happen.

CR Pride currently is in need of volunteers for the parade and the festival. Join us from 11 am to 2 pm on Saturday, May 14 at Thew Brewery to learn how you can get involved. Any person who signs up to volunteer for two shifts will receive a free Pride t-shirt. To receive the shirt, you must be signed up and committed to volunteer by May 14. No extra t-shirts will be available. Can't make it on May 14? No worries! Sign our volunteer interest form now and our volunteer coordinator will be in touch with you before May 14!

Below is the list of committees where community members can volunteer to help with the planning of the pride festival 2022:

Pride Festival

If you have a knack for event planning, then this committee is for you! Help organize all activities taking place at NewBo City Market on the day of the festival. Have a say in stage performances throughout the day and help develop the stage itinerary.

Fundraising/Grants/Sponsors

Use your persuasion and writing skills to help raise funds for our events throughout the year. This committee will partner with area businesses to host/plan fundraisers and will assist with our letter campaign for donations. Have experience writing grants? We need your expertise!

Parade

This year’s poster parade was a big success and we are looking to carry that momentum into 2022 with our first in person parade. Help with all things parade - from coming up with the theme to ensuring we have all road blockades to developing the parade participant line up, we need you to make this a success!

Infrastructure

If you more of a “behind the scenes person” then this might be the perfect opportunity for you! Work with other committees to ensure they have the resources needed for a successful event. Hey, someone has to make sure those porta potties are ordered and the drag queens and kings have a place to change and a stage to perform on!

Promotion/Digital Marketing

Use your skills to help promote the festival and our other events throughout the year. This committee works closely with the Pride Fest, Events, Parade and Fundraising Committees to ensure that the events are promoted in the community and included on our social media accounts.

Outreach and Volunteer Coordination

Be a voice for CR Pride out in the community by reaching out to other organizations that we may support in their efforts. This committee works closely with Pride Fest, Parade and Events committees to ensure they have the volunteers needed to have successful events.

Vendors

Help ensure Pride Fest is a success by developing vendor information for our website, emails and pricing information. This committee is responsible for assigning all vendors to available space at the pride festival and work as a Pride Ambassador to ensure our vendors have a successful experience. Committee Members are responsible for assisting with vendor check in the day of the event and must be available starting at 7 am!

Events

We understand that there is more to Pride than just the festival. This committee assists with the planning of our other events throughout June and July. If you have ideas on how to make Pride month a great experience for all types then this committee might be for you!

We'd like to extend a huge thank you to everyone in the community that dedicates their valuable time to helping us achieve our goals.

CR Pride could not happen without our volunteers! Please fill out our volunteer form by clicking on the icon below and we'll be in contact as volunteer opportunities become available. .
